In the heart of Kochi, where Soorya Krishna, a design graduate from NIFT and the creative force behind a clothing line, embarked on a heartfelt journey. Her pursuit of a holistic education for her 3-year-old revealed a gap in the educational landscape. Dissatisfied with the options available, she drew inspiration from her own family – her nephew and niece, beneficiaries of Montessori education.

Fueling her passion, Soorya enrolled in an AMI Assistant Teacher's training program, discovering alignment with her values in the Montessori approach. In May 2023, Aksharam Montessori was born a testament to Soorya's commitment to providing an enriching environment for children.

As a hands-on mother of two, Soorya's son is now a living example of Montessori's transformative impact. Her drive stems from a desire to offer a platform where every child in the city can naturally explore and learn, contributing to their holistic development.

Enter Swati Bhatnagar, an MSC Mathematics graduate from Delhi University with a rich tapestry of experiences across diverse cities and cultures. From content writing for US schools to academic counseling, Swati is driven by a deep passion to make a difference. Montessori education, she believes, is the key to shaping a responsible and compassionate generation.

For Swati, Aksharam Montessori is more than a school; it's an opportunity for the community to unite and nurture a future generation. Balancing her love for working with children, training adults, Bharatnatyam dancing, and Reiki practice, Swati envisions a school where compassion, responsibility, and lifelong learning take centre stage.

Together, Soorya and Swati are weaving a story of purpose, dedication, and the transformative power of Montessori education at Aksharam Montessori.
